Alluvial Beverage Company is dedicated to providing the finest wines from small artisan producers throughout the world. Our ability to combine excellent wines with customer service and knowledge is our priority. With over 30 years of wine distribution experience in Oregon, we know what it takes to service our customers and assist in bringing margin to your bottom line.
Alluvial Beverage is solely owned and operated by Joel Simon who recognized the need to connect the dots so to speak in realizing the many excellent wineries in Oregon and beyond whom are making some of the very best wines but do not have the experience or need some assistance in getting “to market”. Joel has been immersed in the wine business beginning in 1984 in California stocking shelves at a brick and mortar wine retail store then onto managing a handful of fine wine retail stores also in California. He then took classes in Napa and surrounding Bay Area wineries to learn more about that aspect of the wine business then moving up to Oregon in 1991. Once settled in Oregon with a goal to get involved in the wine movement here he worked the 1991 harvest for a local winery to get his hands “dirty” then became a wine steward for a local gourmet grocery chain featuring primarily Oregon wines up until 1994. After this he became the general manager for two statewide wine wholesalers, one from 1994 to 2004 and the other between the years of 2004 to 2007. In 2007 Joel became the NW regional sales manager as a supplier representative servicing wine wholesalers and direct retailers from Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and beyond up until 2013.
